Meera's Song of Love

Princess Meera loved Krishna with all her heart and spent her days singing beautiful songs to him, dancing with joy. Some in the palace disapproved and wished to silence her.

It is said they even sent her a cup of poison, but Meera drank it with Krishna's name on her lips and came to no harm, her faith was so pure.

Meera gave up palace comforts to wander and sing freely. Her songs of love are still sung across India, hundreds of years later.
